Getting Additional Insurance for Special Events

Projects may require additional insurance for an event, depending on its size and scope. Projects should notify their Project Specialist of any planned events so they can consult with MakeWay’s insurance broker to determine if additional insurance is required.

Activities that may require additional coverage are:

  • Events that last more than 3 days.
  • Events with more than 500 people at any one time.
  • Events where liquor is provided.

If MakeWay's insurance broker determines that additional insurance is required for an event, the cost will be allocated to the Project.
