JPG and PNG files are best for on-screen viewing and EPS files are best for printing.

- Can be used in Microsoft Office materials, including PowerPoint presentations, but they only look good on a white background (because they have a white background).
- Might not look good if you change their size (particularly if you make them bigger).
- Generally have the smallest file size.

- Colour will print accurately because the colour information is included in the file.
- Best file format to send to anyone requesting your logo because they are "scalable", i.e. they look perfect no matter how big, or how small, they are made.
- Can be converted to JPG or PNG for on-screen materials.
- Can be used in most software programs.
EPS files can be used in Microsoft Office materials by clicking Insert > Picture > From File. The image will look jagged on screen, but it will print perfectly.
