Projects are able to sell goods, such as products or clothing, to the public. The following limitations apply to the sale of goods:

• Projects cannot charge taxes on the sale of goods.
• Tax receipts are not issued for sale of goods.

MakeWay supports GiftTool for Projects that wish to sell goods online. Monthly fees apply. MakeWay also has a Square account and can set up a sub-account for Projects that want to make in-person sales using a Square device. 

Projects should consult with their Project Specialist to set up a GiftTool or Square account.
