Has MakeWay considered offering a menu of supports for projects to pick and choose from?

This is how the current model works. MakeWay offers a baseline selection of supports for all projects, recognizing that some projects will lean more heavily on certain types of supports (financial management or grant administration) than others (HR or compliance). That said, MakeWay has to staff up and have systems in place to provide all of these supports to any project who asks for them, which has a staffing cost. The needs of projects change on a regular basis, and the challenge with a ‘pay per support’ approach is that it would be impossible to resource this appropriately in a way that could save costs i.e. result in less staff. Because of this, we’re not in a position to offer a ‘discount’ for supports that aren’t used. We recognize that the wrap-around nature of shared platform supports isn’t for everyone, and endeavour to be fully transparent about all of the supports and resources up front with all new projects that we engage.
