What could some of the additional shared platform supports look like?
This will depend on project feedback. In our most recent annual surveys and the internal shared platform
research, we heard from you all that fundraising supports, financial advice, strategic planning, transparency into requests and faster response times were all priorities. MakeWay has successfully secured funding from
McConnell Foundation and other external funders to introduce a workflow management system to provide
projects with transparency into the status of requests (like a ticketing system) and automate many of the more manual administrative tasks for the support team. The goal is to free up Project Specialist, Finance Lead and Coordinator time from day-to-day transactions to spend on more strategic supports for projects instead. It’s important that these new supports provide value to projects, so we won’t make any decisions without checking in with you all.
